SATURDAY 2ND-SUNDAY 3RD MARCH
THE WHITWORTH
TAKE / HOLD is an event curated by Forecast Events and Balanced Flow Yoga exploring the themes of positive body image, self-worth and the celebration of women’s bodies.
The event kicks off the week of Women’s International Day and brings together two visual mediums; a film screening and an exhibition, to create a powerful insight into this important issue which has never been more relevant in society.
THE EXHIBITION
We are curating a collection of original artwork celebrating women’s bodies and exploring the themes of body image and self worth.
THE FILM
We are screening the powerful documentary Embrace at The Whitworth Art Gallery Saturday 2nd March 2019 at 2pm.
Embrace follows The Body Image Movement activist Taryn Brumfitt’s crusade as she explores the global issue of body loathing, inspiring us to change the way we feel about ourselves and think about our bodies.
